…tomorrow, promise…

I don’t know why either of these home-cooked food is always on our next meal everytime I plan to cut down on my food intake:

  1. Arroz-Caldo
  2. Chicken Tinola
  3. Chicken/Pork Adobo
  4. Pork Paksiw
  5. Litson Paksiw
  6. Pork Sinigang
  7. Ginisang Balatong na may sotanghon
  8. Roasted whole Chicken stuffed w/ tomatoes and onions
  9. Beef Caldereta or Mechado
  10. Beef Nilaga
  11. Ginisang Bagoong
  12. Ginisang gulay with pritong dilis

And for dessert, we normally have:

  1. Cassava cake
  2. Yema
  3. Minatamis na saging na saba
  4. Dilang pusa (ha ha do you know this?)
  5. Fruit/buko salad
  6. Buko pandan
  7. Leche flan
  8. Nilupak/niyubak na cassava (missed ko na rin nilupak na sinigwelas)
  9. Dinildil (banana)
  10. Palitaw

The list can go very long, and oh yah, I don’t want to say they’re all my favourites but all of those can easily get me to eating more damakmaks of rice. And of course they all come with free flow of my hometown’s kapeng barako (strong coffe).

Okey nevermind, I promise that starting tomorrow, I’ll start my abs hardening diet and exercise. Oh I can hear you LOL. Eh,… did you say "ulol"?

         ANG BILBIL

         Balumbon ng taba’ng kainis nakatapal
         masarap na pagkain’y siyang nagpapakapal
         bukas magda-diet laging inuusal
         ala-eh gawin mo at h’wag puro dasal

         Nangapal na sebo’ng mahahawakan mo
         ang likas mong hubog nabago’ng disenyo
         maanyo mong hugis nabalot ng ano
         iyan ba’y malusog o tamlay na lobo

         Ang kalusugan daw ay ’sang kayamanan
         Syempre kung mahubog ay lalong mainam
         wastong pagtitimpi sa ‘yong katakawan’t
         tamang ehersisyo ang iyong puhunan

         Ngunit bakit nga ba ‘daming nagnanais
         wastong kalusugan at magandang hugis
         iba nga’y nagtitiis ng gutom at pawis
         hangad ay hangaan’t pansin’g labis-labis

         Ngunit h’wag dibdibin aking kaibigan
         pulupot ng bilbil sa ‘yong tagiliran
         dapat ayusin mo’y buong katauhan’t
         h’wag kang marahuyo sa panlabas lamang
